- 0.5 lemons;

Cut the herring fillet into small cubes, cut the onion into thin half rings, the lemon into translucent circles, and the apple into thin strips. Crush the walnut kernels into pieces, just try not to turn them into crumbs. Combine all components of the salad except lemon in one cup, salt to taste. Mix sour cream with lemon juice and pour this sauce over the salad, stir gently. Place the finished dish on a flat salad bowl and garnish with lemon slices around the edges.
Herring and vegetable salad
To make this light and delicious salad, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 slightly salted herring;
- 1 onion;
- 3 fresh tomatoes;
- 1 bell pepper;
- 1 fresh cucumber;
- salt to taste;
- pepper to taste;
- parsley;
- vegetable oil.
Peel the herring and cut into small slices, place them on the bottom of the salad bowl.
