6 glasses of water, 3 glasses of starch, 3 glasses of sugar, half a glass of peeled nuts (hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, walnuts), half a glass of powdered sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the nuts and cut them into halves.
Step 2
Dissolve the starch in 3 glasses of cold water and stir so that there are no lumps. Leave it on for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Pour sugar and the remaining 3 glasses of water into a saucepan, stir. Bring to a boil, skimming off.
Step 4
Pour the starch solution into the sugar syrup, stir. Add the nuts and, stirring continuously, simmer until thickened.
Step 5
Place on a baking sheet or high-rimmed tray. Form a rectangular layer 2-3 centimeters thick with a spoon and allow to harden.
Step 6
Cut Turkish delight into small pieces, roll in powdered sugar and place on a plate or tray.
