Very often grapes are dried in the sun to obtain raisins, but, firstly, this is a very long-term occupation, and secondly, half of the grapes will simply rot - as a result, the raisins are tasteless. You can try to cook raisins using a dryer - simply, quickly and efficiently.
It is necessary
-
- Grapes,
- 100 g soda,
- dryer for fruits and vegetables.
Instructions
Step 1
To make raisins, you need seedless grapes. There are dryers for vegetables, berries and fruits, in which you can easily cook raisins in a couple of days. It is impossible to cook raisins at home in another way, since for this you need to fumigate grapes with sulfur, and as you know, sulfur smoke is very dangerous for human health.
Step 2
Place a large pot of water on the fire, a 6-liter pot works great. When the water boils, add baking soda (for 5 liters of water - 100 grams of baking soda).
Step 3
Take a bunch of grapes and immerse in boiling water for 3 seconds, remove and let the water drain. This is necessary so that the wax layer comes off and small holes form in the berries through which moisture will come out in the future.
Step 4
Now you can start separating the berries from the bunch.
Step 5
Then put the berries on a drier tray in a dense layer and leave to dry for several days.
Step 6
Collect the ready-made raisins, arrange in glass jars and store under a tightly closed lid.
