It is necessary
- - 800 g of chicken or duck necks;
- - 1 apple;
- - 1 onion;
- - 120 ml of water;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of vegetable oil;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mustard beans;
- - ground pepper, salt.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to prepare the necks themselves. Chicken necks are smaller, therefore, there is less meat on them, but lovers of small bones will appreciate. Rinse the necks, remove the remaining fat from them. Cut prepared necks into 2-3 pieces if using duck. Leave the chicken necks intact.
Step 2
Peel the onion head, rinse it, cut it arbitrarily as you like. You do not need to peel the apple, just remove the core, rub the apple itself on a coarse grater. A green apple with a slight sourness is suitable for the recipe.
Step 3
Take a large saucepan, pour vegetable oil into it, lay out the necks, onions and grated apple. Add mustard beans, ground pepper to the saucepan, salt to taste. Stir all the ingredients, pour in a small amount of water, cover with a lid, simmer over medium heat for 1, 5-2 hours (depending on which neck size you purchased, chicken will cook much faster than duck).
Step 4
Stewed necks with an apple are ready; serve them hot as a separate dish. If desired, you can prepare any side dish for the necks.
