Despite its unusual name, kalya soup is a traditionally Russian dish. This soup is similar to pickle soup as it is prepared with pickles. Kalya is prepared with both chicken and mushrooms, but it turns out to be the most delicious if it is prepared from fatty sea fish.
It is necessary
- - 1.5 kg of fish;
- - 1.5 liters of water;
- - 100 g of pickled cucumbers;
- - 100 g of carrots;
- - 3 potatoes;
- - 1 onion;
- - a glass of cucumber pickle;
- - half a lemon;
- - parsley root, lavrushka, tarragon, dill, saffron.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the potatoes, cut them into small pieces or cubes.
Step 2
Peel and chop the carrots. You can rub it on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Boil water in a saucepan, put carrots and potatoes in it. Add parsley root, simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Boil the cucumber pickle separately, pour into the soup, put pieces of any oily fish there. Cut cucumbers into small cubes, onions - similarly, send to a saucepan.
Step 5
Cook the soup for another 20 minutes. Season it with saffron and a few lavrushka leaves.
Step 6
Add chopped tarragon and dill before cooking. Pour the prepared soup into soup bowls, season with lemon juice.
