Sometimes you want to try something exotic with a twist. At such a moment, you can cook an exotic chicken. The dish is prepared from ordinary ingredients, so you don't have to run in search of unseen products.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet or breast - 1 kg;
  • Onion - 1 pc;
  • Orange - 1 pc;
  • Garlic - 3 large cloves;
  • Ground ginger - 30 g;
  • Ground cumin or in grains;
  • Ground sweet paprika;
  • A little salt;
  • Black peppercorns;
  • Sunflower oil;
  • 1 cinnamon stick;
  • Chicken broth - ¾ glass;
  • Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon

Preparation:

  1. In a separate bowl, combine ground spices: ground ginger, cumin, sweet paprika. Season with salt, ground peppercorns and grate orange zest into the seasoning mixture. Squeeze the juice from the orange into the spices and mix everything well.
  2. Separate the chicken breast from the bones and cut the flesh into medium-sized pieces. Rinse them under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Put the pieces in the spice marinade and mix. Leave the meat to marinate for just a few minutes.
  3. Place a cast-iron brazier or a heavy-bottomed saucepan on the stove. Pour oil into it and heat it over high heat. Put the chicken in hot oil and fry, stirring constantly.
  4. Wash the onion, peel and cut into half rings. Coarsely chop the peeled cloves of garlic. Pour the remaining marinade into the fried chicken, add chopped onions and garlic, a cinnamon stick and pour a little chicken broth.
  5. Bring to a boil and turn the stove on very low heat. Simmer for 25-30 minutes. A few minutes before the end of stewing, add tomato paste, it will add some sourness to the dish.

You can serve such an exotic chicken with a garnish of legumes, lentils or green peas. Or you can just boil the green beans, it will perfectly emphasize the spice-rich taste of this dish.
