A simple and quick recipe (tarta de manzana), which is nevertheless very popular in Spain as a dessert for Sunday afternoon. Filled with apples or any other fruit (bananas, strawberries, kiwi, cherries). For those with a sweet tooth, garnish with whipped cream (if you choose strawberries as a filling).
It is necessary
- Finished puff pastry
- Milk - 500 ml
- Yolks - 3 pcs.
- Sugar - 100 gr.
- Lemon - 1 pc.
- Corn flour - 40 gr.
- Green apples - 3-4 pcs. depending on the size
- Peach or apricot jam - 3-4 tbsp. spoons
- Baking paper
Instructions
Step 1
First, let's prepare custard in its simplest form: in a large microwave-safe container, mix milk, sugar, yolks and corn flour. Gently cut off the peel from the lemon, trying to avoid the white part. We lower the peel into a container, along with all the ingredients, and put it in the microwave at maximum power for 3 minutes. After this time, we take out and discard the lemon peel, mix the cream well with a whisk or fork and put it in the microwave again for 2 minutes. We check the cream for thickness (if not thick enough, set it for another 2 minutes) and leave to cool.
Step 2
While our cream is cooling, turn on the oven, set it to 180 degrees. Place the baking paper on a baking sheet and place the puff pastry. Departing from the edges 1-2 cm, pierce the entire surface of the dough with a fork. Sprinkle the edges with sugar or grease with protein to brown the dough.
Step 3
Peel off the peel from the apples, cut them in half, remove the core and cut into thin plastics.
Step 4
Put a layer of cream on the dough (thin or thick - depends on personal preference), then a layer of apples (can be laid in rows or from the edges with the center in a circle). If the apples are not very sweet, then sprinkle them with sugar on top.
Step 5
We send the pie to the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes (the time depends on each oven separately, as soon as the apples are browned, you can take out the pie). After the time in the mug, we dilute the jam with water and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes so that our syrup is warmed up.
When the cake is ready, all that remains is to grease it with syrup and let it cool.
