Country style potatoes
Of course, everyone in the village cooks a little differently, but this recipe is called that because it is very simple to prepare and does not actually require any exquisite ingredients. Everything is simple, and therefore - in a country style.
In order to cook this version of pork with potatoes in the oven, take: 1 kilogram of pork, 6 potatoes, 2-3 carrots, 2 onions, 100-150 grams of cheese, half a liter of 1.5% milk, a teaspoon of salt, floor a teaspoon of hops-suneli, 100 grams of butter, vegetable oil, a little pepper and herbs.
First, cut the potatoes, carrots and onions into rings, and the butter and cheese into small cubes. Now grease a baking dish with a little vegetable oil and start laying out the vegetables in layers: first the potatoes, then the carrots, then the onion rings. Place diced butter and cheese on top of the vegetables. Top it all with salt and pepper. Now you can move on to the pork. Cut it into fairly large cubes and, without salt or seasoning with pepper, put in a pan and fry over high heat until a crust forms on the pieces. The inside of the meat may be soggy - it doesn't matter. The main thing is that a crust appears. Now put the meat in the mold, placing it on top of all the vegetables, and you can add a little salt and pepper. Put the carrots, onions and pieces of butter and cheese on the meat again, and again a layer of potatoes on top. You can again salt and pepper. Just calculate the amount of salt so that there is 1 teaspoon of salt for 1 kilogram of meat. Prepare the filling for the dish: mix milk, suneli hops, a little salt and pepper. Pour the prepared mixture on top of the dish so that it reaches the top layer of the potatoes. Everything, cover with foil on top and load into an oven preheated to 200-220 degrees for one and a half to two hours. When vegetables and meat are ready, sprinkle with grated cheese on top and leave in the oven for a while to melt the cheese and form a crust. At the end, sprinkle with herbs and serve.
French meat
It would seem that it is the complete opposite of the previous recipe, but it is just as simple to prepare and it turns out to be no less tasty. What you need: 800 grams of pork, 1.5 kilograms of potatoes, 3 onions, 200 grams of mayonnaise, 150 grams of cheese, salt and pepper.
Lay the dish in layers on a baking sheet: at the bottom - chopped pork, then - mayonnaise mesh, then chopped onion. Cut the potatoes into strips and stir in the remaining mayonnaise, then place the mixture over the onion layer. Now you can send everything to the oven, preheated to 220 degrees, and about 5 minutes before the potatoes are cooked, you need to sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake again until tender. After you take the dish out of the oven, let it stand and cool down for a while, and you can enjoy it.
