In cooking, the preparation of "fermenting" drinks occupies an important place. And one of them is the original orange kvass.
It is necessary
- - one large orange,
- - 300 gr. granulated sugar
- - one bag of dry yeast,
- - citric acid at the tip of a teaspoon.
Instructions
Step 1
We wash the orange very thoroughly in hot water - we need to wash off not only the dirt, but also the chemical composition with which fruits intended for long-term storage are usually treated.
Step 2
Cut the orange into large pieces without removing the peel. We put the pieces in a three-liter jar, add a little citric acid (if you add a lot, the kvass will be too sour).
Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix the sugar with a bag of yeast and add the resulting mixture to the jar with oranges.
Step 4
Pour about 2.5 liters of hot water into the jar. Shake the resulting mixture, cover with gauze and put in a warm place for a day. Just do not close the jar with a lid, otherwise the jar may burst during fermentation.
Step 5
A delicious drink will be ready in a day. All that remains is to strain it, cool it in the refrigerator and you can enjoy delicious orange kvass!
