One of the most beloved French delicacies is orange confiture. It can be served for breakfast, during afternoon tea, or before bed. Jam made from citrus fruits is especially good in winter, because oranges contain a large amount of essential oils, which are known for their sedative properties.

In this recipe for confiture, not only the pulp of the orange is used, but also its peel.

You will need:

- oranges - 10 pcs.;

- lemon - 2 pcs.;

- sugar - 1 kg;

- water - 1.5 liters.

This confiture is quite simple to prepare, but it takes 3 days to prepare it.

The first day

Wash oranges and lemons, then cut them in half and squeeze out the juice to be poured into an enamel or stainless steel saucepan. Transfer the fruit seeds to a separate cup, cover with cling film and refrigerate.

Also chop the zest of oranges and lemons coarsely, pass through a meat grinder, put in a saucepan with juice, pour water into it, and then stir and leave until the next day.

Second day

Place the citrus seeds in cheesecloth, and then dip in a saucepan with orange and lemon juice, put it on low heat and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Keep in mind that you need to stir the citrus fruits constantly to prevent them from burning. After the contents of the pan boil, you need to keep it on low heat for 45 minutes, then turn it off, cover and leave until the next day.

Day three

3 hours before cooking, add sugar to the contents of the pan, stir, put the pan on low heat, bring to a boil and, stirring, cook for 45-50 minutes. In the meantime, sterilize the jars, then pour the hot jam into them, close the jars, turn them over and wrap them up. Delicious orange confiture is ready.
