There are many recipes for fruit pies. The fruits can be added to baked goods fresh or in the form of preparations, for example, jam. Pies with homemade jams made from natural products are especially good.

It is necessary

    • For jam:
    • 1 kg of oranges;
    • 4 liters of water;
    • 3 kg of sugar;
    • lemon zest and cinnamon (optional)
    • For the cake:
    • 1 tbsp. flour;
    • 1 tbsp. confiture;
    • 4 eggs;
    • 150 g butter;
    • 1 tsp baking powder or slaked soda.

Instructions

Step 1

Make homemade jam. Wash the oranges, then cut into circles, and divide each of them into 4 more parts. You do not need to remove the zest. Remove the bones. Put oranges in water at the rate of 4 liters per 1 kg of fruit. Boil for 40-50 minutes. Then cool and leave to infuse for 24 hours right in the water.

Step 2

The next day, put the pot back on the fire, heat the water, and then add the sugar. Boil the mixture over medium heat, not boiling, for an hour. Stir the orange syrup occasionally. The jam should be thick and fragrant. If you want to add an additional note of taste, add grated lemon zest or a little cinnamon there half an hour before the end of cooking. Pack the finished dessert for long-term storage in sterilized jars, and for use in a pie, simply cool in an open container.

Step 3

Make a pie dough. Combine the flour with baking powder or baking soda and vinegar. Then add the butter, which has softened at room temperature. Put sugar in the same container and break eggs there. Mix everything. The dough should be firm enough.

Step 4

Remove the slices of oranges from the jam and place them in the dough. Stir again. Fold the cake into a greased, high-rimmed baking dish. The dough should occupy no more than 2/3 of the height of the pan, as the cake will rise during baking. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put the pie there for half an hour. It should be lightly browned.

Step 5

Immediately remove the finished baked goods from the mold and cut into portions. Sprinkle each of them with jam syrup. Dessert can be served hot or cold.

Step 6

The pie can be served in another way. If it turns out to be lush, cut it lengthwise, and grease the middle with confiture.
