Step 1

Rinse the celery and apple thoroughly in cold running water and then pat dry on a paper towel. Peel the apples, remove the core with a special device, or simply divide in half and remove the seeds, cut into small neat pieces and put in a bowl. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon and pour over the apples. This is done so that it does not darken. Cut the celery stalk into small slices, add to the apple.
