Herring heh is another option for marinated fish that will satisfy even the most demanding gourmets.

To prepare the dish you will need:

- large frozen herring - 1 pc;

- carrots - 1 pc. large;

- onion - 1-2 pcs;

- garlic - 2 cloves;

- salt - 1 tsp;

- sugar - 0.5 tsp;

- vinegar 9% - 2 tablespoons;

- ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp;

- seasoning for Korean dishes - 1 tsp;

- sunflower oil - 1-2 tbsp. l.

I start preparing the dish by preparing the fish. If the herring was frozen, then thaw it at room temperature. Then we remove the head and entrails from the fish, and then carefully remove the skin. We cut the fish along the abdomen and remove the ridge along with the bones. If small bones remain, it is better to remove them too. Thus, we get herring fillet. Cut the herring into portions of such a size that it is convenient to take with a fork, put the fish in a bowl or saucepan.

Now we are preparing the vegetables: we wash the carrots, peel and grate them for Korean carrots or just on a coarse grater. Peel and cut the onion into thin half rings or quarters. We put vegetables in a container with herring. Finely chop the garlic or pass through a press and spread it with the rest of the ingredients. Gently mix everything and add the rest of the bulk products: salt, sugar, pepper and seasonings.

Finally, add vinegar and oil, mix gently and leave to marinate for 6-8 hours in a cool place.
