This wonderful and delicate cake is made from puff pastry with whipped cream with a special summer aroma, which is given to the dessert by fresh strawberries. Strawberry Napoleon cake is perfect for all festive and solemn events.
It is necessary
- - 400 g of strawberries (or any fresh berries);
- - 225 g of wheat flour;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of powdered sugar;
- - 0.5 cups of cold water;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice;
- - 185 g of cold butter;
- - 1 egg;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar;
- - a pinch of salt.
- For the cream:
- - 150 ml heavy cream;
- - vanillin on the tip of a knife;
- - 100 g of icing sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 ° C. Mix flour with powdered sugar, add a pinch of salt. Chop the butter with a knife and crush into crumbs with flour. Add lemon juice and knead the dough.
Step 2
Roll out the dough into a layer, place it on parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 3
Divide the cooled dough with a knife into small rectangles (there should be an even number of them). Transfer the parchment and dough to a baking sheet. Beat the egg and brush over the strips. Sprinkle with sugar and bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Make a cream. Whip the cream with 2/3 of the powdered sugar and vanilla. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
Step 5
Cut each baked cooled strip of dough not across, but along. Cut the strawberries into quarters. For one cake, you need 4 pieces of strips with layers in the following order:
- 1 layer - strip;
- 2nd layer - cream;
- 3rd layer - strawberries.
And so on for 4 strips. Do not grease the top strip with cream, just sprinkle 1/3 of the icing sugar. Serve immediately if you want the dough to remain crispy.
