Goulash is a popular stew with vegetables and gravy. It is difficult to imagine a side dish that would not be harmoniously combined with goulash. Goulash can be made from pork, poultry, or rabbit meat. But the most delicious it comes from beef.
It is necessary
- - beef (pulp) - 0.5 kg;
- - onions - 5 pcs.;
- - carrots - 1 pc.;
- - bell pepper - 1 pc.;
- - tomato paste - 1 tbsp. l. with a slide;
- - garlic - 3 cloves;
- - vegetable oil for frying;
- - ground black pepper;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the beef under running water and divide into small cubes. Peel the onions, carrots and garlic. Cut the onion into half rings, cut the carrot in half lengthwise and chop into thin slices, chop the garlic. Cut out the stem of the bell pepper, remove the seeds and cut it into pieces.
Step 2
Pour vegetable oil into a deep frying pan or cauldron and heat well. Add the meat and fry until golden brown for 15 minutes. Add the chopped onion, stir and cook for 10 minutes until golden brown. Then toss in the carrots and bell peppers. Simmer for another 10 minutes until half cooked.
Step 3
Add tomato paste and garlic, mix everything and fry for 5 minutes. After that, pour in about 2 liters of water, bring to a boil. Add salt to taste and black pepper. Reduce the temperature to a minimum and simmer under a closed lid for 1.5 hours.
Step 4
Serve the goulash with a side of pasta, potatoes, boiled rice, mashed peas, or vegetable stew.
