Fried leeks are a good beer snack, but you can even serve them on a festive table as an alternative to the usual salads. It is prepared in just half an hour; a minimum of ingredients is required.
It is necessary
- - 1 leek;
- - salt to taste;
- - vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a leek, rinse it under running water, shake it off of moisture, or rather dry it on paper towels. Slice the onion lengthwise into small enough strips to cook quickly. Cut the green part of the onion too.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, put prepared leeks in small portions in boiling oil. When the onion becomes soft, start stirring it, twisting it slightly with a fork, so that in the end the leek looks like "curly" - this is how a simple appetizer looks much more spectacular on any table.
Step 3
Put the gilded onions in a colander so that the excess oil is glass. Put the rest of the onion in the pan. Salt each portion to taste, you can pepper a little with black or red pepper if you like spicy.
Step 4
When all the onions are fried and curly, place them on a serving platter, serve as a beer snack, or just like that. In addition, such fried leek can serve as a light side dish for meat dishes or any fish.
Step 5
You can add variety to a simple snack: Leeks can be sautéed with thinly chopped chili peppers or garlic cloves for flavor. You can season the appetizer not only with salt, but also with any spices to your taste.
