  • - paprika-flavored croutons - 100 g;
  • - Romaine lettuce - 1 bunch;
  • - beets - 1 pc.;
  • - salt - to taste;
  • - vegetable oil - for salad dressing.

Step 1

This salad uses raw vegetables, with the exception of boiled potatoes and beets, which can be boiled or used raw. Thus, raw vegetables and herbs will make this salad vitamin and healthy. Untreated vegetables contain more nutrients.

Keep in mind that it is better not to cut the Romaine lettuce with a knife, but just tear it with your hands. It is then that the vitamins contained in it will not oxidize from contact with metal. Peel and chop the onions. If it has a pungent smell and taste, then the onion can be doused with boiling water.

Step 3

In a salad bowl, combine paprika-flavored crackers, lettuce, grated carrots, diced onions, boiled potatoes and finely chopped greens. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut into 4 pieces. Remember, it's best to add them last to the salad so that the croutons don't get too soft. The Rose salad is almost ready: it remains to salt it, add pepper, other spices and vegetable oil as a dressing.

The "highlight" of this salad will be "rose", which can be prepared from beets of a round, regular shape. This root vegetable can be used both raw and boiled. Peel the beets, then make 5-6 cuts at the bottom of the petals, they should be crescent-shaped. It is best to insert the knife horizontally.

The next layer of petals is done in a checkerboard pattern: the knife blade should be inserted at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizon. If necessary, the edges of the petals need to be corrected. Make the remaining rows of rose petals in the same way. Gradually, the incisions must be slightly deviated from the horizontal line and made vertically. At the very end, make several deep cruciform cuts along the central part. They will create the impression of closed rose petals. Place the rose in a salad bowl to decorate your finished salad.
