The dough for these wonderful baked goods turns out to be surprisingly tender, pliable and fluffy. The buns will be appreciated even by the most fastidious family members.
Ingredients for the dough:
- Sifted flour - 700 g;
- Warm water - 50 ml;
- Melted butter - 110 g;
- Chicken eggs - 2 pcs;
- Dry yeast - 2 tsp;
- Milk - 0.5 tbsp;
- Sugar - 100 g;
- Salt - 1 tsp
Ingredients for the filling:
- Egg yolk - 1 pc;
- Coconut flakes - 1 tbsp;
- Honey - 120 g;
- Melted butter - 45 g.
Ingredients for decoration:
- Sesame seeds - 35 g;
- Egg white - 1 pc;
- Water - 15 ml.
Preparation:
- We breed yeast in warm water. Add a teaspoon of sugar and leave the mixture alone for 10 minutes.
- Mix the flour with the remaining granulated sugar and salt. Add milk and ghee. Eggs will follow.
- Combine flour mass with yeast. Knead the dough: it should be homogeneous, smooth and elastic. It is best to knead the base for buns in a bread maker - if you have this useful unit in your kitchen, be sure to use its services.
- Place the dough in a large cup and cover with a breathable linen towel. It will spend the next hour in comfortable warmth, so that it will gradually double in volume.
- For the filling, combine coconut flakes with honey (cane sugar is suitable as a substitute), as well as one yolk and ghee. The resulting mass will be like a paste.
- When the dough "fits", divide it in half. Roll out each portion in a rectangular layer about 7 mm thick, and, in turn, divide it into 6 parts. Cover each piece of dough with a coconut filling - spread out two or three teaspoons.
- We pinch the edges of the product securely - you get a kind of bar. When all the blanks are done, put them on a baking sheet, turning them seam down. Cover with a damp towel on top, and then let the future buns stand for about 20 minutes.
- Beat the protein with water. We process flour products, accompanied by sesame powder.
- We put the baking sheet in a hot oven. Fragrant buns with coconut are baked at 190 degrees for a quarter of an hour.
