Carrot chips are a delicious vitamin product. However, in stores, this dish is quite expensive, but it does not matter, because you can cook carrot chips on your own, no special skills are required here.

It is necessary

  • - 1 kg of carrots;
  • - a glass of corn flour;
  • - salt;
  • - vegetable oil (sunflower, olive or any other taste);
  • - a tablespoon of lemon juice;
  • - 1/2 teaspoon each of paprika, sugar and curry.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the carrots in cold water and peel them. Using a sharp knife, cut the vegetables into thin slices 3-4 mm wide. Place the slices in a bowl, salt them, stir and leave for 30-40 minutes.

After the time has passed, drain the juice, put the carrots on a flat surface and blot with a towel (you need to hit the excess moisture).

Step 2

Line a baking sheet with parchment. Pour flour into a flat bowl, butter (50 grams) into a separate container. Take one circle of carrots, dip it in oil, then roll in flour and place on a baking sheet. Do the same with the rest of the carrot pieces.

Place the baking sheet with vegetables in an oven preheated to 250 degrees for 30 minutes.

Step 3

In a cup, mix a tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon each of sugar, salt, paprika and curry (the last seasoning is optional, you can replace it with any other to taste, or you can simply exclude from the recipe). Remove the carrots from the oven, brush the vegetables with the prepared mixture with a brush, then turn the carrot circles over and grease them again.

Place the baking sheet in the oven for another 20-30 minutes, reducing the heating of the appliance to 160-170 degrees. After the indicated time, remove the ready-made chips and let them cool down. Serve them best with Greek yogurt, or sour cream for a more satisfying snack.
