Any light salad is very simple to prepare, the main thing is that it is not a "food" in itself, and that it helps the assimilation of a hot dish, in our case, pilaf. To figure out which salad is best suited to pilaf, you must first of all be guided by your own taste. We present to your attention recipes for vegetable and fruit salads.

Tomato salad

This salad has two huge advantages - it is insanely delicious and it cooks very quickly! This is one of the few salads that it is customary to prepare not before serving directly to the table, but in advance, so that the vegetables are allowed to juice. To prepare it, you need the following products (for 5 servings):

  • tomatoes (ripe, medium) - 5 pieces;
  • onion - 1 piece;
  • hot red pepper - 1 pod;
  • basil - 0.5 bunch;
  • pepper (ground black) - to taste;
  • salt to taste.

1. For work you need a very sharp knife. Otherwise, the cooking technology will not be followed. When cooking, it should be borne in mind that the main components of this salad are tomatoes. These vegetables should be ripe, juicy, firm, but not soft. At the beginning, they need to be cut into fairly large, even and semicircular plates.

2. Onions are best taken oblong, but not round. It must be cleaned, and then cut into thin half rings, "shake" it with your hands to give juice. If the aroma of the onion does not irritate, then you can simply sprinkle the half rings with salt and leave for five minutes. Then combine these two vegetables.

3. Chopping basil is also recommended. In this case, the knife will not come in handy. Greens are simply torn by hand.

4. Hot red peppers are used in the salad. This vegetable needs to be cleared of seeds, it is necessary to cut it very finely and as thin as possible. Otherwise, it will be impossible to eat the finished dish, the salad will be spicy. In some cases, a third of the vegetable is enough. Add to salad. (for those who do not like a salad "with a spicy", pepper can be omitted or simply dipped several times with a whole peppercorn into the salad).

5. When the food is ready, put it in a deep container. Season with salt, pepper, mix everything, let the salad brew for at least 15 minutes.
