Terrine is a French dish. It is represented by fruits, berries or vegetables drenched in jelly. And then cut into thin slices. I suggest making summer berry terrine based on green tea and mint. The dish is incredibly tasty and superbly refreshing.
It is necessary
- - a mixture of berries (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries) - 400 g;
- - gelatin - 2 tbsp. l.;
- - sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;
- - green tea (leaf) - 2 tbsp. l.;
- - currant leaves - 3-4 leaves;
- - mint - 5-6 branches.
Instructions
Step 1
Making tea. Boil water (1 liter) in a kettle and cool to about 60-70 degrees. Rinse green tea leaves with hot water. Then place the tea leaves in a suitable sized ceramic container and fill with 1 liter of hot water. Place currant leaves and mint sprigs. Close the lid and leave the tea for 7-9 minutes. Then strain to remove the tea leaves and leaves. Add sugar, stir.
Step 2
Pour gelatin with cold water (50 milliliters of water will be needed) and leave for 20-30 minutes to swell. After the gelatin swells, put it in hot tea, stir. Then cool the tea-jelly mixture to room temperature.
Step 3
Preparation of berries. Rinse all the berries, dry, sort out. Remove the stalks.
Step 4
Take a rectangular shape that fits. Cover it with cling film. At the bottom of the mold, pour a layer of jelly-tea mixture about 1 centimeter high. Place the mold in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then put the prepared berries on top, fill them with jelly again. Put the mold in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours. Keep there until completely solidified. Place the terrine on a plate before serving and cut into slices. Garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves. Bon Appetit!
