Jambalaya is a rice-based dish. The required ingredients are green bell peppers, stalked celery and onions, all other ingredients can be varied to your liking. In this case, let's cook jambalaya with hunting sausages and chicken fillet, it will turn out to be very satisfying.
It is necessary
- - 250 g of hunting sausages;
- - 2 chicken fillets;
- - 1 sweet green bell pepper;
- - 1 stalk of celery;
- - 1 onion;
- - 5 cloves of garlic;
- - 4 glasses of chicken broth;
- - 2 cups long grain rice;
- - bay leaf, cayenne pepper, vegetable oil, hot ketchup, black pepper, salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the garlic and onion. Chop the onion into thin half rings and chop the garlic with a sharp knife or use a garlic press if you have one. Peel the bell pepper from seeds, cut into 4 parts, cut into strips. Cut the stalked celery into slices.
Step 2
Cut the hunting sausages and raw chicken into small pieces.

Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan, put pieces of sausages and chicken in it, fry for 5 minutes. Add onion, garlic, pepper, celery. Season with cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt and stir. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Rinse the long grain rice, put it in a saucepan, cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 5
Pour in chicken broth, top with 3 bay leaves. Bring jambalaya to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat, cover, cook for about 20 minutes. It may take more or less time - the rice should soften without falling apart.
Step 6
Add hot ketchup to the finished jambalaya, stir. Arrange the dish on plates and serve hot.
