Kugelhopf is a traditional Austrian sweet pastry similar to Russian Easter cake. Classic Kugelhopf is made from yeast dough with candied fruits, raisins, nuts and served with coffee. Airy sponge cake is universal, does not stale for a long time and can be served both warm and as a chilled dessert with ice cream.
It is necessary
- - 2 tbsp. flour;
- - 5 pieces. eggs;
- - 2 glasses of sugar;
- - 1/2 tsp vanilla;
- - 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda;
- - 2 pcs. apples;
- - 7 pcs. dried apricots;
- - 100 g of condensed milk;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of liquor (Malibu);
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of nut mixture;
- - 2 pcs. figs (dried fruits);
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of brandy (cherry, calvados or cognac);
- - 1/2 can of canned pineapple;
- - 1 st. a spoonful of raisins (light and dark).
- For decoration:
- - 1/2 bar of white chocolate;
- - 2 pcs. kiwi;
- - 1/3 Art. coconut flakes.
Instructions
Step 1
Beat the cooled eggs with sugar and vanilla until white foam, add slaked soda, sifted flour and brandy. Beat with a mixer for 3 minutes.
Step 2
Peel the apples, soak the dried fruits in warm water for 5 minutes and dry them on a napkin. Chop figs and dried apricots finely.
Step 3
Lubricate the ring with vegetable oil. Put the raisins, sliced apples, chopped dried apricots, grated nuts, figs, again raisins, apples and pineapple rings on the bottom of the mold. Pour the dough over the top.
Step 4
Bake in an oven preheated to 300 degrees for 1 hour (in a silicone mold), in an aluminum mold - 40 minutes. After removing from the oven, let cool for 15 minutes and free the baked goods from the mold.
Step 5
Pour liqueur, condensed milk, melted white chocolate over the pastries. Garnish with kiwi and pineapple rings, sprinkle with coconut. If you put the pie in the refrigerator for an hour, then it can be served with ice cream balls and fresh fruit in the form of an original cold dessert.
