An appetizing vitamin dish - chicken pieces stewed with pumpkin in a fragrant creamy sauce. Ideal with pasta or rice, it takes less than an hour to cook, fresh tomatoes, lettuce can be used as decoration.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - 600 g of chicken legs;
- - 500 g pumpkin;
- - 1 glass of cream;
- - 1 onion;
- - 1/3 cup raisins;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of butter;
- - dill or parsley, salt, pepper, chicken seasoning.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut off all the flesh from the chicken legs, and discard the skin or leave to prepare the broth for the soup. Fry the chicken pieces in a skillet or saucepan in butter, adding the chopped onion to the same.
Step 2
Peel the pumpkin, cut into small cubes. Add spices and raisins to the chicken and onions. It is not necessary to exclude raisins from the recipe - it will give the dish an original taste, when cooked it becomes almost unsweetened. Take seasonings at your discretion: cinnamon, thyme, hops-suneli, and so on. Make it to your liking, you can use an all-purpose chicken seasoning.
Step 3
Put the chopped pumpkin to the chicken, cover with a lid, simmer for about half an hour over low heat. Then pour in the cream, salt and pepper, mix thoroughly, bring to a boil. Instead of cream, you can add 1 glass of milk with 1 tablespoon of flour. Cook the dish for a few more minutes.
Step 4
Arrange the finished dish on plates, sprinkle with fresh herbs on top - dill, parsley or green onions (you can do all at once). Chicken with pumpkin is served hot as a second course.
