Halva - translated from Arabic "sweetness". Halva is traditionally prepared from nuts and seeds, with the addition of honey or sugar syrup.
It is necessary
- - walnuts (kernels) - 200 g
- - flax seeds - 4 tablespoons
- - honey - 4 tablespoons
Instructions
Step 1
For the preparation of raw halva, we will use walnut kernels without subjecting them to any heat treatment.
Take 200 grams of walnut kernels, sort them out to exclude walnut partitions or pieces of shells from getting into the dish. Rinse in a colander under running water. Grind with a meat grinder or
blender.
Step 2
Grind flax seeds in a coffee grinder almost into flour. Add the ground seeds to the nut mass. Mix thoroughly.
Now add honey to this nut-flaxseed mass. It should be put in gradually, since honey can be liquid or candied, so the proportions in the recipe are given conditionally. We put a spoonful of honey and it is necessary to mix the mass properly, making sure that it does not turn out to be excessively liquid.
Step 3
Cover the form with cling film. It can be any shape, from a round bowl to chocolate molds. Fill the selected form with a sweet nut mass and place in the freezer for 1-2 hours to harden the mass. Remove from the mold, remove the film and divide the halva into portions.
