Baked chicken legs in a fragrant pepper sauce with spices is an unusual and original dish, distinguished by its unique taste and aroma. Such a dish can not only diversify the daily diet, but also decorate any festive table. It is prepared from 7 drumsticks, but if there are much more guests, then the number of products can be doubled or tripled.
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of fresh milk;
- 1 sachet of starter culture;
- 7 chicken legs;
- 1 pita bread;
- 1 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
- 1 bell pepper (small);
- 200 ml of yogurt;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- ½ tsp salt;
- ¼ h. L. red hot pepper;
- ¼ h. L. black pepper;
- ¼ h. L. nutmeg.
Preparation:
- Remove the milk from the refrigerator in advance so that it reaches room temperature.
- The dishes in which the yogurt will be cooked should be thoroughly washed and sterilized.
- Pour warm milk into a prepared container, add the starter culture there, stir everything for 2-3 minutes (always with a dry and clean spoon) until the starter culture is completely dissolved, cover with a lid and place in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours. During this time, the milk mass will ferment and become yogurt.
- Cut the pepper into medium cubes, and just peel and wash the garlic. Put the prepared ingredients in a blender bowl and mix in mashed potatoes.
- Put the vegetable puree in a bowl, add yogurt, season with spices and mix until smooth.
- Turn on the oven and preheat to 180 degrees.
- Take a small rectangular baking dish, grease it with oil and cover it with pita bread (folded in half), forming high sides.
- Wash the chicken legs thoroughly, peel them if desired, put them in a pita bread pan, pour in the prepared filling and place in the oven for 40-50 minutes. If, during the baking process, the legs begin to burn, then they will need to be covered with foil.
- Remove the ready-made drumsticks from the oven and serve (right in the mold) with your favorite side dish, as well as fresh vegetables and herbs.
