Mannik is a traditional simple cake. However, it can be varied by cooking it with any sauce, cream or filling. One of the options for this dish can be a manna with custard: it is easy to prepare and very tasty.

It is necessary

  • For mannik:
  • - 1 glass of flour
  • - 1 glass of semolina
  • - 1 glass of milk / kefir / sour cream
  • - 1 cup of sugar
  • - 1 egg
  • - 1 tsp soda
  • - 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • For the cream:
  • - 1 egg
  • - 0.5 cups of sugar
  • - 1 glass of milk
  • - 1 tbsp. flour
  • - a little butter
  • - some cocoa

Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the dough, you need to grind the egg with sugar. When the mass turns pale yellow (or white), add some flour and vegetable oil. Grind well. Then add the rest of the flour and a little liquid (kefir, sour cream or milk). Mix thoroughly, and when there are no lumps left, pour in the remaining liquid and mix again. At the very end, add semolina and soda and knead again.

Step 2

Pour the prepared dough into a dish greased with vegetable oil and place in a preheated oven. Bake at 180-200 degrees for about 20-30 minutes. Check the readiness with a match (stick a match or a toothpick into the cake - if it is dry, then the dish is ready).

Step 3

While the cake is in the oven, you need to prepare the cream. To do this, the milk should be boiled and allowed to cool slightly. In a separate saucepan, grind the egg with sugar, adding flour and cocoa. Pour hot milk into this mixture and put on fire. Add oil and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly. When the cream thickens, remove the saucepan from the stove and let cool.

Step 4

Grease the finished manna with cream on top, let it cool completely and, if time permits, place it in the refrigerator for several hours.
