- For filling:
- - thinly sliced cabbage - 300 - 500 g
- - carrots - 1 pc
- - tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- - sugar, salt, pepper - to taste
- - vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Additionally:
- - vegetable oil - 250 ml
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to prepare the dough, as it takes time to rise.
Mix water at room temperature with oil. It is better to take vegetable oil unrefined and not deodorized, having aroma, since such oil is more natural, it is not purified by dubious
ways. Add sugar and salt.
Step 2
To prepare the dough for pies with cabbage, take common wheat flour. destination, the protein content of which is 10, 3 grams per 100 grams of product. Sift the flour into a bowl with the prepared liquid mixture.
Take fast-acting dry baker's yeast and add it directly to the flour.
Step 3
Mix everything until smooth. We knead the dough, knocking it out, saturating it with oxygen, from 15 to 30 minutes. Now the prepared dough must be placed in a bowl and covered with a lid or cloth. Leave the dough to rise. This will take approximately 1 hour.
Step 4
Sprinkle the table with flour, lay out the slightly sticky dough, divide it into portions, the amount of which depends on the desired size of our pies. Stretch each such piece of dough into a cake, in the middle of which put the filling, pinch the edges. Fry the prepared pies on both sides until light brown on medium
heat in a large amount of vegetable oil (not deep-fried).
Step 5
To prepare the filling in a deep frying pan, cauldron or saucepan, stew carrots, peeled and grated on a coarse grater, and thinly sliced white cabbage in oil. Simmer covered over low heat, stirring occasionally. When the vegetables are soft, you can add tomato paste, add sugar, salt and pepper to your liking. Then mix everything thoroughly and simmer for about 5 minutes. Cool down.
