Everyone is familiar with this situation: I really want to cook something tasty, healthy and high-calorie for breakfast. But, glancing at the clock, we grab our heads and, hastily fried eggs and sausage, we run off to work. The stomach for such a "good morning", of course, will not thank us, and the result may be heaviness in the stomach, or even an exacerbation of gastritis. Just for such a case, "lazy" curd dumplings will be an excellent help. Unlike the classic ones, which require several hours of thoughtful sculpting, they can be cooked in 15 - 30 minutes (about the same time it takes to prepare a regular morning meal of eggs, coffee and sandwiches).

For dumplings you will need:

  • 500 g of cottage cheese;
  • 1 egg;
  • ½ teaspoon salt;
  • 20 grams of butter;
  • 1 cup flour;
  • as well as a cutting board, knife, mixing utensils and a 3 to 4 liter saucepan.

Before making lazy dumplings, prepare whatever you might need while cooking. Any dough in which cottage cheese is present must be kneaded very quickly and immediately start cooking. 5 - 10 minutes, and it will wind up. In this case, not only the "presentation" of the finished dish suffers, but also the taste. Put all the ingredients on the table, prepare a knife, spoons and a board. It is also better to boil water for cooking dumplings in advance.

How to make dough

The method of preparing lazy dumplings is very simple, but it requires strict adherence to the sequence.

  1. Beat the egg into a bowl, add salt, cottage cheese and butter there. Stir the mixture with a fork until smooth. Only then can flour be added.
  2. Knead the dough quickly. It will turn out to be quite thick, but sticky to the touch.
  3. Put it on a board, roll a thin sausage and cut it into small, 1 - 1, 5 cm thick cubes.
  4. Salt boiling water and quickly, one at a time, dip the future dumplings into it. With a certain skill, you can throw them off directly from the board, with a knife; most importantly, make sure that the pieces do not stick together.

You need to cook them for 4 minutes from surfacing. Pay attention - it may take several minutes between the boiling water and the rise of the dough to the surface, and if you set the timer at the moment the "boiling" starts, the dumplings will be half-baked.

You can eat lazy dumplings with cottage cheese with sour cream and sugar: the pleasure is unforgettable, even the most picky gourmet will be satisfied. However, even without any additives, this dish does not lose its taste at all.

Please note that the cottage cheese should be dense, grainy: dumplings made from semi-liquid cottage cheese will not keep their shape, and when boiled, they will fall apart and turn into a boiled curd mass. Their taste, of course, will not suffer greatly from this. But there are neat beautiful cubes that are much nicer.
