- cheese - 300 g;
- potatoes - 4-5 pcs.;
- onions - 4 pcs.;
- vegetable oil;
- black pepper;
- salt.
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare this dish, give preference to meat with a small amount of fat so that it does not get too dry.
Step 2
The pork should be uniform, light in color. Before buying, press on the piece with your finger, if it springs nicely, you can take it, and if it is sluggish and flabby, let it remain on the counter.
Step 3
Also, do not buy frozen food for French-style meat.
Step 4
Wash the meat thoroughly in cold water, blot with a clean paper towel and cut into pieces approximately 1-1.5 centimeters thick.
Step 5
Place the pieces of meat on a board, cover with cling film and beat lightly with a special hammer. Rub each piece on all sides with a mixture of salt and pepper. You can use other seasonings if you like.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 200-220 degrees. Grease a rectangular baking dish with vegetable oil and place the meat on it.
Step 7
Peel the onion and cut into half rings, preferably as thin as possible. Spread it evenly over the meat. Grate the hard cheese on a fine grater and sprinkle evenly over the onion.
Step 8
Wash the potatoes thoroughly with a sponge or brush in warm water. Dry, brush each potato with vegetable oil, wrap tightly in foil in several layers and place around the edges of a baking dish.
Step 9
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes. Check the dish for readiness. To do this, carefully pierce the meat with a sharp knife or fork, if clear juice is released, you can safely take it out.
Step 10
Place the baked meat on a wide plate before serving. Place the potatoes next to it, open the foil and make deep cuts in the potatoes with a knife, salt and sprinkle with green onions. This dish will go well with chopped fresh vegetables and red wine.
