Dried plums are called prunes. They are dried by steam, thanks to such heat treatment, the maximum of useful substances is retained in the product. Prunes are rich in plant fiber and pectin substances, as well as a whole range of vitamins necessary for a person. The inclusion in the menu of dishes with prunes helps to cleanse the body of toxins, improves the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and promotes weight loss.
Puff salad with prunes
To prepare a delicious and tender salad "Puff" with prunes you will need:
- 200 g of boiled chicken meat;
- 3 boiled potatoes;
- 1 boiled beet;
- 50 g of prunes;
- 50-70 g of canned green peas;
- 1 pickled cucumber;
- 1 head of onion;
- greens;
- 3 hard-boiled eggs;
- 70 g of hard cheese;
- mayonnaise;
- 1 tbsp. l. vinegar;
- 1 tsp. granulated sugar.
Peel the onions and cut them into half rings. Then prepare the marinade. To do this, add table vinegar and granulated sugar to boiling water, mix. Pour the prepared onion with this mixture and leave to marinate for 20 minutes. Then remove the onion from the marinade and squeeze lightly.
In dried prunes with pits, many more nutrients are stored.
Soak prunes in boiling water for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with cold water, squeeze and chop finely. The salad will turn out to be especially tasty if you know how to choose the right prunes for it. It should be black, but if the dried fruit has a dark gray or coffee tint, it means that the product has been treated with glycerin or scalded with boiling water, which impairs its taste.
Cut the boiled chicken into small cubes, and the pickled cucumber into thin strips.
For hard-boiled eggs, separate the whites from the yolks and grate them separately on a coarse grater.
Grate cheese, boiled potatoes and beets on a medium grater.
Lay out the prepared salad components in layers, pouring mayonnaise on each: 1st layer - potatoes, 2nd - chicken meat, 3rd - prunes, 4th - pickled onions, 5th - beets, 6th - pickled cucumber, 7th - green peas, 8th - grated cheese, 9th - grated proteins, 10th - grated yolks.
Serve the Puff salad garnished with finely chopped herbs.
White birch salad with prunes
To make an original salad called "White Birch", you need to take:
- 300-400 g of chicken fillet;
- 200 g of mushrooms;
- 100 g of prunes;
- 2 fresh cucumbers;
- 1 onion;
- 3 boiled eggs;
- vegetable oil;
- mayonnaise;
- greens;
- pepper;
- salt.
Boil the chicken fillet in salted water until tender, then cool and cut into strips.
Boil the mushrooms for 10 minutes, then cool and cut into slices. Then fry together with finely chopped onion in vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Soak prunes in warm water for 10-15 minutes. After this time, dry the prunes and chop finely.
Grate hard-boiled eggs on a coarse grater. Cut the cucumbers into small slices.
If you wish, you can not lay out the ingredients in layers, but combine all the components of the salad together and mix.
Lay out the salad in layers, pouring mayonnaise on each: 1st - prunes, 2nd - mushrooms fried with onions, 3rd - chicken meat, 4th - eggs, 5th - cucumbers.
