Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg of minced meat (pork);
  • 1 onion and medium-sized carrot;
  • rice groats - 100 g;
  • 1 egg;
  • 3 tbsp sour cream;
  • 3.5 cups of water;
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste (you can take the sauce);
  • sunflower oil;
  • spices, black pepper and salt.

Preparation:

  1. First of all, you need to prepare the rice grits. Better to use round rice. It must be rinsed very well until the water becomes clear. Then pour the rice into a saucepan and cover with freshly boiled water. Approximate proportion 1: 2. Cover the pot with a lid and place it on the stove.
  2. When the liquid boils, the fire must be reduced to a minimum. The groats are cooked until cooked for about 10 minutes, then removed from the stove. Let the cereal infuse.
  3. After that, you need to peel the vegetables and wash them thoroughly. Chop the carrots with a grater and cut the onions into very small cubes.
  4. Heat the skillet into which the oil should first be poured and pour the vegetables into it. Fry them over low heat so that the carrots and onions are not fried, but only become soft.
  5. Then you can start directly cooking the minced meat. To do this, put fried vegetables, rice, minced meat, and an egg into one container. Everything must be pepper, salt and add your favorite spices if desired. The resulting mass should be very well mixed.
  6. You need to form meatballs from minced meat. So that the minced meat does not stick to your hands, they should be moistened with plain water.
  7. The finished meatballs are stacked in a frying pan where carrots and onions were cooked. If desired, they can be lightly fried on several sides, but you can do without it.
  8. In a separate container, combine sour cream, tomato paste and a little water. Stir everything well and pour into a frying pan, while the liquid must necessarily cover the meatballs. Close the container with a lid and put on fire.
  9. After the sauce starts to boil, you should reduce the heat. After 20 minutes, you need to open the pan so that the sauce has evaporated more than half. By the way, you can pepper and salt it if you wish. Very tender and incredibly juicy meatballs are ready.
