It is necessary

  • - 1 kg of minced meat
  • - 120 g parboiled rice
  • - 3 medium tomatoes
  • - 1 onion
  • - 1 large egg
  • - 3 tbsp. l. tomato paste
  • - 2 bay leaves
  • - salt
  • - pepper
  • - vegetable oil

Instructions

Step 1

Put the minced meat in a bowl, add salt, pepper and other spices (optional). Beat the egg into the minced meat. Chop the onion in a blender or chop finely, put in the minced meat, mix everything thoroughly with your hands and beat.

Step 2

Pour 300 ml of water into a saucepan, add rice to it, salt and cook until the rice is half cooked. Discard the rice in a colander to drain excess liquid. Pour rice into minced meat, mix well.

Step 3

Pour vegetable oil into a deep thick-walled frying pan, heat it. Form the minced meat into medium-sized balls. Put the meatballs in a skillet and fry over medium heat. They should acquire a beautiful ruddy crust.

Step 4

Take a saucepan, put meatballs into it.

Step 5

Remove the skin from the tomatoes. This can be done easily by pouring boiling water over them. Transfer the tomatoes to a blender and grind into gruel, put in a bowl, add tomato paste, salt, pepper and bay leaves, mix everything thoroughly. Pour the resulting tomato sauce into a frying pan and boil for 4-6 minutes. If the consistency is too thick, add some water to the tomato sauce.

Step 6

Pour meatballs with tomato sauce, put on medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Put the finished meatballs in tomato sauce on plates, serve.
