Many people think that making pizza at home is a long and laborious process. So they buy frozen pizza from the grocery store and heat it up in the oven. And to make it tastier, you can make a delicious sauce from simple and fresh products.
It is necessary
- - tomatoes
- - 2 tsp olive oil
- - 2 cloves of garlic
- - 1/4 cup onions
- - basil, oregano
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and mince the garlic. Cut the onion into small pieces. Peel the tomatoes.
Step 2
Pour in 2 tsp. olive oil in a small saucepan. Heat oil over medium heat for 2 minutes, until hot. Add chopped garlic and finely chopped onion. Fry for about 2 minutes, until the garlic and onion are tender, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Add tomatoes. You can chop them before adding them to the pan, or use them whole.
Step 4
Stir the tomatoes frequently for 5-10 minutes. You can add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the tomatoes, onions and garlic until the consistency of a thick sauce. You can keep the sauce in the chunks as desired, or cook a little longer for an even consistency.
Step 5
Tear off the basil or oregano leaves with your hands and add to the sauce.
Step 6
Cook the sauce for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove the pan from heat. The sauce must cool slightly before you apply it to the pizza dough.
