The Cheese Buns recipe is easy to prepare, ingredients are available and time-consuming. To give the finished baked goods a unique flavor, you can add spices to the dough that are not indicated in the recipe: coriander, cumin, nutmeg, etc.
To make quick buns with cheese in a mug, slightly heat 200 ml of milk with 2 tsp. sugar, then add 1 tsp. dry instant yeast.
Sift through a fine sieve 300 g of flour, which is mixed with 1 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. odorless vegetable oil or 30 g of butter. A yeast mixture is added to the flour, the non-steep dough is kneaded and put in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
After the dough rises, it is slightly crushed, divided into equal parts, each of which is rolled with a rolling pin into a rectangular blank. A slice of regular or processed cheese is placed on one half of the workpiece, and on the second half, several longitudinal cuts are made with a sharp knife, not reaching the edge of the dough.
Each rectangle is folded into a bagel, the edges are pinched tightly and laid out on a baking sheet with baking paper. After the buns rise a little, they are greased with egg yolk, sprinkled with sesame seeds and sent to an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees.
Cheese buns are baked for 15-20 minutes, depending on the characteristics of the oven. Ready-made bagels can be served hot or cold.
