It is necessary

  • - rice Aquatika mix - 150 g;
  • - green lentils - 150 g;
  • - carrots - 1 pc.;
  • - onion - 1 pc.;
  • - Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.;
  • - drinking water - 600 ml;
  • - tomatoes - 2-3 pcs.;
  • - vegetable oil - 70-80 ml;
  • - garlic - 3-4 cloves;
  • - paprika, curry, ginger - 1 tsp each;
  • - salt, red and black pepper - to taste.

Step 1

A mixture of wild and parboiled rice is best suited for majadar. Any lentil can be used, but green lentils work best with rice.

Step 2

Rinse the rice several times, then lower it into a convenient saucepan and pour 2.5 times the volume of rice with water, about 375 ml. Bring food to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat and cook until half cooked. It will take no more than 15 minutes.

Step 3

Pour clean lentils with the remaining drinking water, put on fire, cook for 7-8 minutes.

Step 4

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Rinse the carrots in running water, peel and chop on a coarse grater.

Step 5

Heat a skillet with vegetable oil. Place prepared vegetables, fry on medium heat for 4-5 minutes. The onion must be brought to a golden state.

Step 6

Rinse sweet peppers, free from partitions and seeds, cut into cubes. Dip tomatoes, fleshy better, in boiling water for 30 seconds. Next, pour over ice water, remove the skin. Chop tomatoes at random, mix with finely chopped garlic and pepper. Send the vegetables to the pan with the onions and carrots, mix.

Step 7

It's the turn of rice and lentils, put them with vegetables, add spices. Set the heat to low and cook with the lid closed for 15 minutes. When spreading the mujadara in portions, do not forget to season the dish with paprika. Serve the mujadara with fresh vegetable salad.
