It is necessary
- For 2 rolls:
- - 6 cups + 0.5 cups flour;
- - 4.5 tsp dry fast yeast;
- - 0.5 cups of sugar;
- - 2, 5 tsp salt;
- - 6 eggs;
- - 100 g of butter;
- - 1 cup of water;
- - 2 tsp poppy.
Instructions
Step 1
Sift flour into a bowl and mix with sugar, salt and yeast.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a water bath or microwave and cool.
Step 3
Divide 2 eggs into whites and yolks.
Step 4
Mix 2 whole eggs with yolks, melted and cooled butter and lukewarm water (water can also be at room temperature, but never hot or cold!) In a mixer bowl. Add flour and use the hook attachment to knead the dough for about 8 minutes. Then add half a cup of flour.
Step 5
Grease a large bowl with butter and place the dough in it. Cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place to rise for a couple of hours.
Step 6
Knead the dough, which should double in two hours, and leave to rise again, for an hour.
Step 7
Divide the dough in half, and each half into three parts. Braid two braids, brush with egg white and water, and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Leave to come up one last time, 45 minutes.
Step 8
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Bake bread at the bottom of the oven for 35-40 minutes, check readiness with a torch. Cool the bread completely before slicing.
