Pelamusha is a Georgian sweet dish that is also cooked in many Arab countries. Classic pelamushi is made from red grape juice, and white juice is used for wedding feasts as a symbol of the bride's purity. We will prepare a dessert from dark grape juice, the color will turn out incredible!
It is necessary
- - 900 ml of grape juice;
- - 200 g of corn grits;
- - 1 glass of walnuts;
- - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of coconut.
Instructions
Step 1
Grind the corn flour with a coffee grinder to a flour condition. Of course, it is better to take homemade juice for dessert, made from some dark grape varieties or a mixture of varieties. But you can also make a dessert with purchased grape juice if you don't want to squeeze the juice from the berries yourself.
Step 2
Add corn flour to 450 ml of grape juice, mix. Add sugar to the second half of the juice, bring to a boil. Add the amount of sugar to your liking - it depends on the sweetness of your juice. Add cold cornmeal in a thin stream to the boiling juice. Boil the juice until thick, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula. This will take 10-12 minutes.
Step 3
Pour some crushed walnuts into silicone molds, put the hot grape mass on top. Pelamusha can be put in a glass or metal mold, but first moisten such molds with water. Put the grape dessert in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours so that it cools well.
Step 4
Before serving, put the Georgian dessert on plates, garnish with walnuts or something else of your choice.
