Probably every housewife knows the secret of how to cook delicious chicken. This tender meat can be boiled, stewed, baked in the oven, fried in a pan and open fire. If you have a slow cooker at home, then cook the chicken in it.
If you do not know how to cook chicken in a slow cooker, then the recipe that will be given below will come in handy.
Chicken stew with apples
To prepare the dish, you need the following ingredients:
- chicken meat - 600 g;
- onions - 2 small heads;
- green apples (it is desirable that the fruits are tough) - 2 pcs.;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- bay leaf - 1 pc.;
- butter - 2 tbsp. l.;
- greens (dill, parsley, etc.) - 1 bunch;
- spices and herbs to taste.
Put butter in the multicooker bowl, turn on the "Baking" mode for 30 minutes. Once the butter has melted, add the onion, previously peeled and cut into half rings, into the bowl. Fry the vegetable until translucent. When the onion has acquired the desired shade, put the previously washed poultry meat into the bowl. Fry the chicken on both sides until golden brown. When the "Baking" mode finishes its work, put in the multicooker bowl, where there are already onions and chicken, apples, peeled and diced, garlic, pre-chopped, bay leaves, finely chopped herbs and spices to taste.
If for cooking you chose lean parts of the bird, for example, fillet, then pour 2-3 tbsp. l. water. If you are cooking thighs, drumsticks or other parts with skin, then you do not need to add liquid to the dish.
When all the ingredients are filled in, you can close the lid of the multicooker and turn on the "Stew" mode. The chicken will take 40 minutes to cook. It is recommended to serve the chicken warm. On top of the meat, you can put slices of stewed apple.
