This bright and tasty cake is perfect as a light lunch, and, if desired, can be a decoration of a festive table.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- 360 g flour
- 120 ml boiling water
- 120 ml refined vegetable oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- For filling:
- 250 g cherry tomatoes
- half a red onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 450 g pureed tomatoes (not tomato paste!)
- salt
- thyme
- basil
Instructions
Step 1
Make dough. Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Add water and oil. Knead the dough, leave for half an hour.
Step 2
While the dough is resting, make the filling. Chop the onion finely, chop the garlic, cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Mix the mashed tomatoes with the onion and garlic.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Roll out the dough into a baking sheet size. Lay out the tomato mass, spread the halves of the cherry tomatoes on top. Sprinkle the cake with salt, thyme and basil.
Step 4
Place the cake in a preheated oven. Bake at 200 degrees for 35 minutes.
