This is a simple Czech dish that tastes like our cheesecakes. Curd dumplings are steamed or boiled in water, sometimes they are fried in vegetable oil. It turns out very tasty, can be served with sour cream or any jam.

It is necessary

  • - 500 g of cottage cheese;
  • - 2 eggs;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of semolina;
  • - 1 tbsp. spoon of cocoa powder.

Instructions

Step 1

Separate the yolks from the whites. Mash the yolks with 1 tbsp. a spoonful of granulated sugar. Put the cottage cheese in a deep bowl, add semolina, cocoa powder, egg yolks pounded with sugar, knead well, put in the refrigerator for two hours.

Step 2

Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar to form a fluffy foam, gently add to the chilled curd mass.

Step 3

Soak a linen napkin or gauze in warm water, wring it out, put the curd mass on top of it, giving it a cylindrical shape, wrap it up, tie the ends tightly. It will look like a sausage. For reliability, you can wrap it in a layer of foil so that the juice does not leak out during the cooking of the curd dumplings.

Step 4

Boil water in a large saucepan (our curd sausage should fit in it), lower the workpiece there, cook for 15-20 minutes. If the sausage has surfaced, then it is already ready, you can safely pull it out of the water. Cool completely, cut into portioned round slices. You can serve ready-made curd dumplings with anything (sour cream, jam, sweet syrups) and whenever you like - for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
