  • - garlic - 4-5 cloves.

  • - pomegranate juice - 90 ml
  • - walnuts - 150 g

Step 1

First you need to boil the beans. Use a method that you trust and are used to. The easiest way is to use a multicooker or pressure cooker. If there are only pots at home, then soak the beans overnight, and the next day boil them according to the principle: the water with the beans has boiled, boiled a little, then you need to drain the water and pour cold water and cook again until tender. If you don't have time to boil the beans, you can buy ready-made canned beans.

Step 2

While the beans are boiling, you need to chop the onion, garlic (number of cloves to taste), cilantro and nuts. Using a blender or food processor, grind everything into a homogeneous mass. If there is no blender, then you need to chop the necessary ingredients very finely, mix and let stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.

Step 3

Pour pomegranate juice into a mixture of onions, walnuts, cilantro and garlic, mix everything with a spoon until smooth.

Step 4

When the beans are cooked and soft, it is necessary to cool them down to room temperature and thoroughly mix the prepared mixture with the beans. Place the lobio with walnuts on a platter, garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and, if desired, pomegranate seeds.

Lobio can be served with meat, as an appetizer or as a complete dish. From the specified amount of ingredients, 2-3 servings will be obtained.
