Spoil your family and friends with the Georgian national dish called lobio. You will need the following ingredients (to make 3 servings):
- 500 g beans;
- onions - 2 pcs.;
- garlic - 3 cloves;
- 2-3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- salt, pepper - to taste;
- greens (parsley, dill, cilantro, etc.) - to taste.
Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic. Fry the onion and garlic in a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan.
Put the washed beans in a saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the beans until the water evaporates.
Now you can add sauteed onions and garlic, salt and black pepper according to your taste, as well as finely chopped herbs and any spices. Stir the contents of the saucepan and cook for about 5 minutes.
Lobio in Georgian style can be served hot, garnished with lettuce, lemon slices and olives.
