It is necessary

  • - 1 glass of honey;
  • - 400 g flour;
  • - 250 ml of pomegranate juice;
  • - 100 g of sugar;
  • - 25 g cocoa;
  • - 1/2 cup vegetable oil;
  • - 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar;
  • - caramelized oranges;
  • - soda.

Instructions

Step 1

Pour a glass of honey with pomegranate juice, heat a little over low heat, without bringing the mixture to a boil. Stir until the honey is completely dissolved. If your pomegranate juice is sour, add sugar to taste.

Step 2

Add vegetable oil, cocoa powder, soda quenched with vinegar to the honey-pomegranate mixture and add flour. Knead the dough with a mixer. It should turn out to be viscous and liquid, like condensed milk. It is also normal for the dough to bubble slightly.

Step 3

Coat the mold with oil, pour the dough into it. Top with caramelized oranges. They are very simple to prepare: cut the oranges into thin slices. In a skillet, melt brown sugar in a little water to make caramel, dip the oranges in it, cook over low heat for a couple of minutes.

Step 4

Bake the gingerbread for 35 minutes at 180 degrees. Check the doneness with a wooden stick - it should stay dry when piercing the dough.

Step 5

Pomegranate juice with oranges is delicious even when cold. Its surface is glossy, caramelized - a very tasty treat for tea!
