  • - egg white - 1 pc;
  • - apricot jam - 400 g;
  • - walnuts - 200 g;
  • - dried apricots or raisins - 50 g.
  • Glaze:
  • - dark chocolate - 100 g;
  • - cream - 100 ml.

Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the dough, do the following: pour dry yeast into warm milk. Then add a tablespoon of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of wheat flour to the same mixture. Mix everything and leave, set aside, for a quarter of an hour.

Step 2

Melt before using the margarine. Then add it to the dough along with the egg and 0.5 cups of granulated sugar. Stir the resulting mass.

Step 3

Attach the baking powder to the flour. Add this dry mixture to the yeast mass. Stir until smooth, then immediately divide the resulting dough into 3 equal parts.

Roll out one of the three pieces so that it measures about 20 x 30 centimeters. Then put this layer on a baking sheet with a sheet of parchment. You can transfer it by rolling it on a rolling pin.

Step 5

Chop the nuts, but not to a crumb state. Then mix them with apricot jam or jam, one egg white, and dried apricots or raisins. You can use both if you want. The filling for Gerbeau is ready. Divide it evenly in half and place one half on the dough lying on the baking sheet.

Roll out the rest of the dough in exactly the same way. Place one of them on the laid out mass with dried fruits. Grease it on top with the rest of the filling. Cover the previous layer with the third layer and slightly bend its edges. Do not touch this "structure" for 30 minutes. After the time has elapsed, after heating the oven to 180 degrees, send the cake to bake until its color turns golden.

Step 7

Heat the cream in a saucepan, then add the chocolate wedges to them. Cook the mass until smooth, while stirring constantly. By the way, if you don't like this glaze, then you can cook absolutely any one.

Brush the finished baked goods with an even layer of chocolate glaze. The Gerbeau cake is ready!
