Making fondue is very much like a ritual, for the performance of which the whole family can be gathered at the dinner table. Initially, this dish was prepared in Switzerland on an open fire by shepherds: they dipped slices of bread into cheese melted with wine. To perform this sacrament at home, a tea candle, heat-resistant dishes and long-toothed forks for dipping bread or fruit into cheese or chocolate will be enough.
It is necessary
- Gouda cheese - 50 g
- Cheese "Maasdam" - 50 g
- Butter - 50 g
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Cream - 4 tbsp. spoons
- White bread - 1 piece
- Any spices to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Cut white bread into small pieces, put on a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 150 degrees. Dry slightly until golden brown, however, make sure that the inside of the bread remains soft and then it is convenient to prick it on a fork.
Step 2
Put butter, finely grated cheese, cream and lemon juice in a fondue dish or any heat-resistant container. Place on the stove and cook until the mass is melted, stirring constantly. At the end, you can add any seasonings you like.
Step 3
Serve cooked cheese fondue with cooked white bread slices.
Bon Appetit!
