It is necessary

    • 300 g flour;
    • 600 g icing sugar;
    • 150 g butter;
    • 8 eggs;
    • 1 glass of orange juice
    • 1 tbsp starch;
    • 3 oranges;
    • 1 lemon.

Instructions

Step 1

Bake a cake according to a traditional Polish recipe. Start by making the dough. To do this, boil 3 eggs, separate the yolks and place in a bowl. Pour 150 g of powdered sugar into them and grind into a single mass. Gradually add flour there, and also add butter, softened at room temperature. Pour in no more than a quarter of a glass of water to make the dough plastic. Then cover it with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Make the pie filling. To do this, separate the whites from the yolks from the remaining raw eggs, pour them into different bowls. Add orange juice to the yolks. You can squeeze it yourself or buy it ready-made in the store. Pour one and a half cups of powdered sugar into the mixture. Peel one of the oranges, remove the zest from it, grate it or chop it finely. Add the zest to the yolks.

Step 3

Prepare the proteins separately. Beat them into a foam using a mixer or a whisk, and then gently, one spoon at a time, add to the main mass with yolks and mix. Pour the starch into the mass and stir gently so that the whipped whites do not fall off.

Step 4

Cut the remaining two oranges and lemon into slices together with the peel, remove the seeds. In a skillet, make a syrup with the remaining powdered sugar and half a glass of water. When the sugar is completely dissolved, dip the slices of oranges and lemons into the resulting mass and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove the fruit from the syrup and set aside on a plate.

Step 5

Remove the dough from the refrigerator, roll it out thinly and place in a high-sided baking dish. Place the baking dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake the cake for 10 minutes. Then remove the mold from the oven and pour the prepared mixture of orange juice, eggs and sugar onto the crust. Place the pie in the oven for another 15-20 minutes. A couple of minutes before the end of cooking, place the slices of orange and lemon, cooked in syrup, on top. Remove the finished cake from the oven and refrigerate.
