American cuisine has a wide variety of sandwich options that are quick and easy to prepare, and can be eaten at home, at a picnic, or at work. One of the interesting recipes involves adding egg salad to the bread.

- 2-3 tomatoes.
- For the sauce:
- 2 eggs;
- 1 tsp mustard;
- 1/4 lemon;
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil;
- salt and pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the eggs in boiling water for 8-10 minutes. If the eggs are cracked, put a few teaspoons in the water. salt, then they will not flow out. Then dip them in cold water for 5-10 minutes - this will make them easier to clean. Remove the shells from the eggs and chop them finely. Place them in a bowl.
Step 2
Make a salad dressing. Take raw eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Mix them with Dijon mustard and salt. You can also add ground black pepper. Then gradually pour the vegetable oil into the mixture, whisking it with a mixer or by hand. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon and add after the butter while whisking. Lemon juice can be substituted with a little vinegar if you like it. As a result, the sauce should turn white and thicken. It is advisable to use it immediately, it is stored in the refrigerator for no more than two days and may begin to exfoliate.
Step 3
Choose greens to taste - dill, parsley, a few green onions. Wash it, dry it, cut it and place it over the eggs. Season the salad generously with the resulting sauce.
Step 4
Rinse the lettuce leaves under running water. Then pat dry with a towel or paper towel. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
Step 5
Prepare sandwich bread. Take a sandwich roll made from wheat or rye flour. Cut it into thin slices, cut off the crust from each. If you like crunchy bread, dry the chunks with a toaster. You can also make croutons. To do this, grease the bread on both sides with butter and fry in a pan for 3 minutes on each side. You can additionally sprinkle such croutons with salt. Alternatively, you can use halved bagels and hamburger buns for the sandwich. It is better to preheat it in the oven or in the microwave.
Step 6
Collect your sandwich. On one slice of bread, place a leaf of green lettuce, then a layer of egg lettuce, on top - a tomato and a second slice of bread. Cut the sandwich diagonally to make two triangles. If you are serving sandwiches at a buffet table, hold them together with a skewer and string the pitted olives on top of the skewer.
