Corn sticks are a delicious addition to tea, milk or compote. But that's not all - you can make many simple desserts from ready-made snacks, which children especially like. By the way, the process of making them is also very exciting and can be an excellent reason for joint creativity and introducing the kid to the culinary arts.

It is necessary

    • Ball cakes:
    • 300 g cream or milk toffee;
    • 100 g butter;
    • 100 g corn sticks.
    • Assorted candies:
    • 100 g corn sticks;
    • milk chocolate bar;
    • white chocolate bar;
    • 50 g butter;
    • almond;
    • almond crumbs;
    • cocoa powder;
    • canned cherries.

Instructions

Step 1

You can make original ball cakes from corn sticks. Buy small sticks to make your dessert look prettier. Pour the oxen into a saucepan and place a deep and wide container on top - for example, a large bowl. Put butter and toffee, freed from candy wrappers, into it.

Step 2

Heat the mixture in a water bath, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula, until the mixture is smooth. Do not put a bowl of iris on the stove - it will burn instantly and the dessert will be ruined. Pour corn sticks into the hot mixture and stir thoroughly. Prepare a flat dish for ready-made cakes and a deep container of cold water in advance.

Step 3

Start sculpting cakes. Dip your hands in cold water to avoid scalding. Use a large spoon to scoop the mixture out of the bowl and quickly roll it into small balls. Lay them out on a platter, making sure that the cakes do not touch each other. After filling one plate, take another. Wait an hour or an hour and a half - during this time, the iris should harden. It is not necessary to put the cakes away in the cold.

Step 4

Another option for dessert made from corn sticks is homemade assorted candies. Crush the sticks in a mortar, turning them into small crumbs. In one small saucepan, melt a bar of milk chocolate and 25 g butter; in another, mix the same amount of butter with white chocolate.

Step 5

Remove saucepans from heat. Pour the corn chips into them. Take small portions of the chocolate mass with a teaspoon and roll it into balls with wet hands. Place canned cherries inside the milk chocolate candies, place almonds in the white chocolate candies.

Step 6

Prepare two flat plates. Pour almonds into one, cocoa powder into the other. Gently roll the white chocolate candies in ground almonds and place on a greased plate. Sprinkle the milk chocolate balls with cocoa powder. Place the finished candies in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Place them in corrugated paper sockets before serving.
