It is necessary

  • For meatballs:
  • - minced meat 1-1, 5 kg;
  • - chicken egg 1 pc.;
  • - 1/2 cup rice;
  • - onions 1-2 pcs.;
  • - garlic 1-2 cloves;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt.
  • For pilaf:
  • - 3-4 cups rice;
  • - carrots 1.5 kg;
  • - onions 1 kg;
  • - spices for pilaf 1 tbsp. the spoon;
  • - vegetable oil 150 ml.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse rice for meatballs thoroughly, boil in salted water until half cooked. Then discard in a colander and cool completely.

Step 2

Peel onions and garlic for meatballs, chop, then combine with minced meat. Beat in an egg, add rice, salt and ground pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Form the minced meat into small balls. Cover them with cling film and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Rinse rice for pilaf thoroughly and soak in warm water. Peel carrots and onions, wash and cut into strips.

Step 5

Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron, fry the formed meatballs for 5 minutes. A golden crust should appear. Then remove the meatballs and set them aside on a plate. In the same oil, fry the onions and carrots until golden brown.

Step 6

Add pilaf spices and salt to the fried vegetables, stir. Put meatballs on top of the vegetable mass. Then pour in the thoroughly washed rice. Pour the pilaf with hot water so that it is covered by 2 cm.

Step 7

Bring pilaf to a boil, then reduce heat, cook, covered, for 25 minutes. When the pilaf is ready, let it brew for 15 minutes.
